A great big Thanks to all of you who spoke with Welcome Home about our need for a working electronic Keyboard. Federal Way Church of the Nazarene has generously donated just what we needed! PTL! The instrument will be used for a new music program involving refugee teens and young adults in South King County. This donation is greatly appreciated!
There is still time to register for the September 23 Volunteer Training! It’s a short, action-packed, and informative session. It will get you ready to be connected with a new refuge friend, or just help you better understand the immigrant and refugee situation and needs. The session goes from 9:30 AM to Noon.

Welcoming Our New Neighbors.
Can You Be a Friend to Just One?
Welcome Home was created to make it easy for those of us in our neighborhood who want to be more welcoming and inclusive to our new neighbors. The task is really quite simple. All we ask is that you consider adding one more person or family to your current circle of friends, and that your new friend be foreign born.
Welcome Home provides training, guidance and assistance as well as a “match” service to connect you with a new comer in your neighborhood.
